Job Description:

Our client is a growing international freight forwarding company based in Montreal (Dorval) looking for a dynamic Logistics Coordinator to join their team to handle mostly ocean imports and some exports.

Job Responsibility:

Arrange Ocean transportation and facilitate the movement of goods based on customer demands
Ensure accuracy on shipments and minimize risk of delay
Provide and track quotations of services to our customers
Advise clients on transportation and payment methods, including the issuance of freight bills and invoices to brokers and/or customer
Filing of invoices, orders, PODs, and collect payments for the same
Track and trace vendor orders and report any anomalies
Collect, audit and accurately enter carrier qualification information
Arrange “white glove” services for customers, ensuring proper unpacking, packing, transportation of sensitive equipment
Coordinate pickup and delivery orders with carriers
Prompt and accurate communication with customers and carriers
Various other duties as may be required

Requirements:

1+ years of experience in logistics, ocean imports
Fluent in English (spoken and written), French an asset
Knowledge of North American Carrier Network and cross-border shipping requirements an asset
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with CargoWise is considered an asset
Strong organization skills, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills

Nice to have:

Experience with CargoWise
Knowledge of North American Carrier Network and cross-border shipping requirements
French language skills
