Morson are exclusively recruiting a Logistics Controller on behalf of Safran Nacelles in Burnley. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded aerospace manufacturing environment in Burnley, supporting shop floor operations through effective inventory control, material handling, and logistics coordination within a fast-paced production setting.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor and perform cycle counting activities to maintain stock accuracy above 98%
  • Ensure 100% completion of annual cycle counts
  • Investigate, manage, and escalate inventory discrepancies
  • Organise and maintain point-of-use inventory storage
  • Coordinate material flow between stores, suppliers, and production
  • Support shop floor operations, including moving parts between work centres
  • Analyse inventory performance and report against defined metrics
  • Identify root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support urgent production requirements and prioritisation of work orders
  • Maintain availability of materials, containers, and equipment to support workflow
  • Participate in stock takes, audits, QRQC meetings, and improvement projects
  • Support wider supply chain activities, including subcontracting where required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory control or logistics within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of cycle counting and stock accuracy processes
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, shop floor-based role
  • Strong communication skills when working across multiple teams
  • Good working knowledge of Excel (intermediate level)
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving capability
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work autonomously
