Job Responsibility:
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients by responding to their needs and anticipating their requests
Sales Development: Secure new business by sourcing and calling clients to book their transportation needs
Shipment Coordination: Work closely with clients to understand their transportation needs, assess cargo requirements, and organize shipments efficiently
Carrier Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate carriers based on specific client needs, routes, costs, and deadlines
Rate Negotiation: Negotiate transportation rates with carriers to ensure competitive costs while maintaining high service standards
Shipment Tracking: Ensure continuous tracking of shipments in transit, quickly resolve any potential issues, and provide regular updates to clients
Requirements:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of truck transport and industry practices
Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly
A natural ability to sell
French and English bilingualism required (written or verbal exchanges with the client)
Proficiency in computer systems, notably Microsoft Office, TMS, Excel, and Outlook
