We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Clerk to join our team in Downey, California. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in logistics or administrative roles who thrive in fast-paced environments. The role involves ensuring the seamless coordination of logistics operations, managing customer communications, and maintaining accurate records to support timely order processing and delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Generate and distribute invoices to customers promptly and accurately
Process purchase orders with precision and ensure all data is correctly entered into the system
Monitor incoming shipments and containers, providing regular updates to customers and the internal team
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records through efficient data entry
Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to facilitate on-time deliveries
Resolve shipping or order-related issues by troubleshooting and implementing solutions
Perform general office duties to support the overall logistics operations
Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and ensure a high level of service
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, order processing, or a related administrative role
Familiarity with manufacturing or distribution environments is preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a time-sensitive setting
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach
