Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our client on a contract basis in the south metro, Minnesota area. In this role, you will support daily operations by coordinating shipping, receiving, and other logistics functions to ensure the smooth flow of goods. This is a great opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for organization and problem-solving.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation
  • Sit in the drive up window to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks
  • Greet drivers, using their computer system to enter in weights of loads, and track and generate paperwork
  • Play an important role in daily operations by ensuring all incoming and outgoing materials are weighed, recorded, and processed accurately
  • Supports production, logistics, and compliance through consistent attention to detail and clear communication
  • Operate computerized scales to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and materials
  • Record and log weigh ticket information including material type, weight, vehicle details, and customer information
  • Direct drivers and visitors to appropriate loading and unloading areas
  • Verify material contents and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Assist with basic customer service questions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe weigh station environment
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or a similar role is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with vendors and team members
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and documentation
