We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our team in Madison Heights, Michigan. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in supporting supply chain operations, focusing on inventory management, order processing, and system utilization. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless operations.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate inventory records and order statuses using the designated system to ensure up-to-date tracking
Process and manage orders, shipments, and procurement tasks efficiently to support smooth supply chain operations
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot system-related issues, working with technical support as necessary
Provide training and guidance to colleagues on effective system usage to enhance overall operational efficiency
Monitor and report on inventory levels, shipments, and order fulfillment using system tools
Ensure data accuracy through meticulous entry and verification processes
Assist in resolving order discrepancies and other supply chain-related challenges
Support the team in meeting deadlines, including occasional overtime on weekdays or weekends
Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to overall operational success
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supply chain or logistics role, with system usage experience preferred
Familiarity with inventory tracking, order management, and procurement processes
Proficiency in SAP, specifically S/4 SAP modules, is highly preferred
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word effectively
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide system support
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
