Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Logistics Clerk to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role involves managing third-shift dispatch operations from Tuesday through Saturday, with the flexibility to work overtime on weekends when needed. Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and oversee third-shift dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate communication with freight carriers
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records through data entry for shipping and receiving processes
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a call center environment, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
  • Monitor and manage logistics workflows to optimize distribution and transportation processes
  • Communicate with freight carriers to ensure the seamless movement of goods and resolve any logistical challenges
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules
  • Handle shipping and receiving documentation, verifying accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Adapt to changing priorities and assist with weekend overtime as necessary to meet operational demands

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in dispatching within the logistics or transportation industry
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with logistics and distribution processes, including shipping and receiving
  • Excellent customer service skills, particularly in a call center or similar environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with freight carriers and internal teams
  • Flexibility to work third shift hours and adjust to weekend overtime as needed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and related systems is preferred
