Job Description:

An industrial distributor on the south shore requires a clerk to provide support for its logistics activities, specifically for goods that transit into Canada from the US and overseas. Position is based at the company’s head office in Brossard

Job Responsibility:

Select the transporter when requested
Complete customs documents
Communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to resolve problems and clear shipments
Where required, provide documents for customs clearance and follow-up to resolve any delays on the movement of goods
In coordination with the customs broker, ensure that custom codes are correctly applied
Use supplier portals to manage any issues with damaged goods and prepare claims ...
Support the accounting department with the management of the CARM program for cross border shipments.
Make sure that charges are appropriate for the service and shipment size.

Requirements:

Strong English with a proficient French
Handling Ground transport from and to the USA
Minimum 1 year experience in logistics
Sufficiently computer literate to make enquires for information in the ERP to then perform analysis
