Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Logistics Clerk to join our team in Mokena, Illinois. This is a Contract position within the plastics manufacturing industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to the smooth handling of products and materials in a fast-paced environment. The role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and attention to detail to ensure operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate the movement of products and materials within the facility to support production and logistics activities
  • Follow verbal instructions accurately to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to company standards
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a productive and organized work environment
  • Safely lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the facility
  • Navigate and maneuver around the plant while standing or walking for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Maintain adherence to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure workspace
  • Assist in organizing and staging materials to optimize workflow and minimize delays
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any operational challenges
  • Participate in routine inspections to ensure materials and equipment are in proper condition

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics, production, or a related field
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds safely and efficiently
  • Strong ability to follow verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and maneuver within a manufacturing plant for extended periods
  • Proven track record of working effectively within a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing or logistics setting
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills to manage materials effectively
