Job Description

Logistics and Equipment Specialist role at Booz Allen Hamilton, focusing on government and contractor acquired assets, inventory management, and logistics engineering within a hybrid work model.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify, track, and control government and contractor acquired assets and maintain inventory records
  • Oversee the receipt, delivery, transfer, or disposition of assets in accordance with applicable government regulations using current technology
  • Apply expertise in configuration management, life cycle support, document control, database management, and logistics engineering for hardware
  • Maintain receivables and protection of goods, and collaborate with Government Furnished Property (GFP) staff and the receiving manager to ensure the efficient and effective movement of both Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and GFP property
  • Maintain responsibility for assembling data and updating and maintaining up-to-date inventory of all GFP and GFE

Requirements

  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper
  • Experience operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems
  • Experience managing government equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment and property management tools or systems, and property management tracking systems
  • Ability to plan, develop, and perform lab performance, functional, and integration testing
  • Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and pay strict attention to detail
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice to have

  • Experience with logistics and asset procurement, and inventory control
  • Experience with NESSUS, ACAS, or other security analysis tools
  • Knowledge of FMS property management processes
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work independently
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, Security+, JNCIA, or JNCP Certifications
