We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to support supply chain and distribution activities for a manufacturing organization in Eagan, Minnesota. This Contract position focuses on improving the flow of materials, coordinating shipment activity, and helping teams make informed logistics decisions through accurate analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong operational insight, works comfortably across cross-functional teams, and can contribute to efficient transportation and inventory planning.
Job Responsibility
Analyze shipping, transportation, and distribution data to identify trends, resolve inefficiencies, and support daily logistics decisions
Coordinate inbound and outbound movement of materials to help maintain timely delivery and smooth warehouse and production operations
Partner with internal teams and external carriers to monitor shipments, address service issues, and improve overall logistics performance
Prepare reports on freight activity, inventory movement, and supply chain metrics to support planning and operational visibility
Review logistics processes and recommend practical improvements that reduce delays, control costs, and strengthen service levels
Support global and domestic logistics activities by helping manage documentation, routing details, and shipment schedules
Track order flow and material availability to help align supply chain activity with production and customer requirements
Assist with operational updates or process-related logistics changes as needed while maintaining continuity in day-to-day execution
Requirements
Experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or supply chain analysis within a manufacturing or related environment
Working knowledge of domestic and global shipping coordination, carrier communication, and freight processes
Ability to interpret logistics data, generate reports, and use findings to support operational improvements
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines effectively
Effective communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders
Proficiency with common business systems and spreadsheets used for tracking inventory, shipments, and performance metrics
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced logistics environment
