Position Overview: Self-driven multi-tasker that monitors and controls inbound and outbound freight, making sure the plant is optimizing trailer space; carrier billing is accurate, and analyzes freight reports in search of the best shipping methods and practices.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the weekly freight forwarder calls to monitor all inbound ocean and air freight
Carrier invoice review, challenge, and approval. Maintaining the inbound report updated daily, from the freight forwarder data
Experience with carrier routing guides and working with carriers and suppliers to keep compliance
International air cargo experience, quoting, shipping, monitoring
Experience with carrier damage claims and report control for follow-up and cost visibility
Retrieve performance reports from websites
Proactively communicate to the internal customer the status of their shipments
Resolve issues in a timely manner (e.g. mis-ships, claims, etc)
Maintain Key Performance Indicators report (Freight-In and Freight-Out reports)
Ensure all problems are addressed and researched, such as loss in transit, failed deliveries, order reroutes
Verify bill of lading information accuracy
Coordinate and support International Overseas FCL & LCL Exports
Support International Overseas Parcel shipping and label creation, BSO, and support to shipping stations
Support all logistical needs for the Hunter Douglas North America division
Requirements:
BACHELOR’S DEGREE: Comercio Exterior y Aduanas, LAE, or similar
ENGLISH LEVEL: 90%
SKILLS: SAP (desired), MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), experience managing parcel, LTL, FTL, ocean and air cargo
