We're offering an exciting opportunity to join a Family Safeguarding Team within a forward thinking local authority in Lancashire. You'll be part of a motivated, supportive team committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families. The local authority has roles available in Rawtenstall, Pendle, Lancaster, Fleetwood, Chorley, Skelmersdale, Preston & Accrington.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assessing and supporting families to safeguard children and reduce risk
  • Managing a mixed caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection work
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to deliver joined-up, effective interventions
  • Undertaking court work when required, with full support from your Practice Development and Team Managers

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar children's social work setting
  • The ability to manage a complex and varied caseload effectively
  • A child-focused, relationship-based approach to practice
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding procedures, risk management, and statutory responsibilities
  • A collaborative and resilient mindset, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team
