Job Description

Service Care Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Locum Practice Nurse to join our established General Practice team on a part-time locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent Practice Nurse who is confident managing a broad range of treatment room and chronic disease services within a busy primary care environment.

Job Responsibility

Cervical cytology (smear tests)
Wound assessment, management and dressings
Removal of sutures and clips
Routine adult and childhood immunisations
Administration of injectable medications, including: Vitamin B12, Goserelin, Inclisiran
Urinalysis
NHS Health Checks
Travel health assessments, advice and vaccinations
Management and monitoring of long-term conditions, including: Asthma, COPD, Hypertension (including 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring), Diabetes
Phlebotomy
ECG recording

Requirements

Hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Have previous experience working as a Practice Nurse within UK General Practice
Be proficient in the use of EMIS Web
Be confident managing a treatment room independently
Demonstrate excellent clinical, organisational and communication skills
Be committed to delivering high standards of patient-centred care
