Job Description:

Join our team as a GP Surgery Locum Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting patient health and wellbeing. In this role, you will manage minor ailments and long-term conditions, independently prescribe medications, provide medication reviews, optimise treatment plans, deliver prescribing support to GP teams, collaborate with clinical staff, and maintain accurate documentation.

Job Responsibility:

manage minor ailments and long-term conditions such as hypertension
independently prescribe medications in line with best practice
provide high-quality medication reviews and optimise treatment plans
deliver safe, effective prescribing support for the GP team
collaborate with GPs, nurses, and wider MDT staff to deliver holistic care
maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements:

to be a qualified Independent Prescriber (IP)
previous experience working in a GP surgery / primary care setting
strong experience in minor ailments, hypertension, and prescribing
excellent communication and teamworking skills
the ability to work autonomously in a busy GP practice environment
