Job Description:

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a 13 week locum Neonatology Nurse Practitioner job in Springdale, Arkansas. This is a generalized description of locum NP job requirements. Specific assignment details may vary based on the healthcare facility, patient population and the NP specialty.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Arkansas
  • National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
