Job Responsibility:
Diagnose and treat patients with electrical abnormalities of the heart, such as arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation
Perform electrophysiology studies (EPS), catheter ablations and device implantations like pacemakers and defibrillators
Manage patients with implantable cardiac devices, including routine follow-ups and troubleshooting device malfunctions
Work closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient care
Provide emergency care for patients experiencing life-threatening arrhythmias
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Requirements:
Certifications: ACLS
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Completion of a fellowship in cardiology, with a subspecialty fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology
Board certification in cardiovascular disease with additional certification in clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
Active and unrestricted medical license in Arizona
Experience: 1 year
