Job Description:

Looking for your next locum opportunity in a coastal Queensland location? Maven Dental Pioneer is a well-established dental clinic located in Mackay, QLD, supporting a strong and loyal existing patient base within the local community. This is a great opportunity to step into a new practice, work alongside an experienced team, and enjoy a new location while continuing to deliver high-quality care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning across general and emergency dentistry
  • Deliver a range of treatments including restorations, extractions, and urgent care, with scope aligned to your clinical experience
  • Manage patient flow and prioritise emergency cases as required
  • Communicate treatment plans clearly and educate patients on oral health and preventive care
  • Work collaboratively with dental assistants, oral health therapists, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards and regulations
  • Adapt to different practice environments and systems to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience practising in Australia
  • Confident working independently across general and emergency dentistry
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
What we offer:
  • $800 base retainer per working day or 40% commission, whichever is greater
  • Return domestic flights, private accommodation and car hire provided
  • Established patient base with consistent workflow
  • Supportive and experienced clinical and administrative team
