Whether you're seeking a short-term placement, a longer regional adventure, or the flexibility to work around your lifestyle, we regularly have opportunities available across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, and the ACT. With over 250 practices across Australia and New Zealand, Abano Healthcare is one of the largest dental support organisations in the region. Our locum dentists are supported by an experienced clinical and operational network, helping ensure a smooth and well-supported experience from start to finish.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning across general and emergency dentistry
  • Deliver a range of treatments including restorations, extractions, and urgent care
  • Manage patient flow and prioritise emergency cases as required
  • Communicate treatment plans clearly and educate patients on oral health and preventive care
  • Work collaboratively with dental assistants, oral health therapists, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards and regulations
  • Adapt to different practice environments and systems to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience practising in Australia
  • Confident working independently across general and emergency dentistry
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Professional indemnity insurance
