Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lockbox Machine Operator to join our Lockbox Operations team. In this role, you will operate mail extraction, scanning, and sorting equipment to ensure the accurate and timely processing of incoming mail and payments. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a production-driven environment, enjoy working with specialized equipment, and take pride in delivering quality work while meeting daily productivity goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate and maintain lockbox mail processing equipment, including: OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40
  • Receive, sort, and prepare incoming mail for processing according to established procedures
  • Monitor machine performance and identify jams, misfeeds, and operational issues
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within established production deadlines
  • Perform routine quality checks to verify processing accuracy
  • Follow all operational, compliance, security, and audit requirements
  • Assist with general mailroom and lockbox operations as needed
  • Lift and carry mail trays weighing up to 10–15 pounds
  • Support a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Meet productivity and quality performance standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience in a lockbox, mailroom, production, document processing, or operations environment preferred
  • Experience operating OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40, or similar mail extraction and scanning equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and written instructions
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
