Job Description

Under the direction of the Region Manager, the Location Manager is responsible for coordinating all purchases, operations, public relations, and control activities within the location in a safe and profitable manner. Cooperate with other supervisory personnel to ensure efficiency and overall company growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Purchase grain and report transactions in a timely manner
  • Responsible for weighing and testing of grain-inbound and outbound
  • Responsible for payment of grain purchases
  • Ability to write purchase contracts on the computer and basic knowledge of the computer system
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsible for all supervisor duties including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • planning, assigning, and directing work

  • rewarding and disciplining employees
  • addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Responsible for understanding the working knowledge of all records relevant to your location including but not limited to purchases, sales, long and short position, storage position, grain contracts and inventory
  • Supervise grain receiving, storage, grain drying and shipping of grain
  • Maintain an accurate inventory system to protect grain
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Responsible for monitoring the grade and condition of all grain on hand
  • Responsible for making sure the facilities and equipment are clean and maintained
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Monitor compliance of all safety activities and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant
  • Attends all required meetings and training programs
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures
  • EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
