Libraries are at the heart of Slough's diverse community and everyone loves their librarian! The Locality Hubs and Library Manager provides strategic leadership of four libraries (Britwell, Cippenham, Langley and The Curve) as part of Slough's Library service and the borough's Archive service, ensuring preservation, accessibility, and engagement with Slough's documentary heritage. This is an exciting time to join Slough, as we develop into an 'enabling Council.' You will lead on transforming libraries into vibrant community hubs, building partnerships to strengthen literacy, digital inclusion, wellbeing and community engagement and ensure that libraries are an accessible part of the Council's front door. This will build on the pilot at Britwell Hub. You will join an inclusive and passionate team who are committed creating vibrant, inclusive spaces - the service has been awarded the 'Library of Sanctuary Award.' As a qualified and experienced Librarian, you will provide the professional and strategic leadership to jointly develop and deliver the Council's Libraries and Community Hub strategy, working closely with others in your directorate.
