Job Description:

Academic internship for students looking to complete Program requirements. The intern will secure that customers and co-workers have a native experience across all platforms and ensure all content and communication for the market aligns with IKEA tone of voice across all channels.

Job Responsibility:

Managing localisation and translation projects end to end
Reviewing FR and/or NL content (translated from EN)
Communicate with localisation vendors
Consolidate and provide linguistic feedback to translators/translation vendors
Update linguistic assets such as glossaries, termbases
Work with local content creation teams to create web, sales, communication and social media content
Liaise with the global localisation team to ensure consistency of approach
Translate and/or edit user interface, communication, PR, Web, social media and marketing materials for urgent requests

Requirements:

Passionate about lifestyle, home furnishing and modern retail
Motivated by languages and cultures
Open to change
Able to work both independently and interdependently
Appreciate strategic thinking and turning communication theory into practice
Proven training in linguistic field (ongoing bachelor's/master study minimum)
Experience in using CAT tools and Translation management systems (e.g. SDL Worldserver, XTM, Smartling, Memsource, MemoQ) is a plus
Familiarity with Machine Translation is desirable
Strong communication and influencing skills
Master at least one of the two national languages (ideally bilingual NL/FR)
Good level of English, both spoken and written
Understanding and interest in localization/communication trends
Time management skills
Ability to multitask
Highly organized

Nice to have:

Experience in using CAT tools and Translation management systems
Familiarity with Machine Translation
Bilingual NL/FR
