This is a dynamic, front-line role where you are the face of the Council, primarily interacting with residents in the field, explaining requirements, and ensuring compliance with local laws.
Job Responsibility:
Engaging with residents, conducting door knocks, and representing the Council in the community
De-escalating customer frustration and communicating complex requirements with professionalism and clarity
Interpreting and applying local legislation and by-laws
Utilising field technology (handheld devices, body-worn cameras)
Requirements:
Local Laws experience is essential
Exceptional Attitude & Team Fit: A genuine drive, willingness to learn, and commitment to positive teamwork
Customer Service Focus: Proven ability to communicate effectively, handle difficult conversations, and provide great community service
Flexibility: Availability for the required hours, including potential future weekend shifts
