Job Description:

Selectra Ireland helps customers set up their energy contracts when moving into a new home, with the goal of lowering monthly costs and finding the best deals available. The international Local Business Development Team is made up of specialists focused on expanding Selectra’s presence through partnerships with local actors such as real estate professionals, relocation companies, and brokers. Countries like France, Belgium, Austria, and Spain are already supported by experienced developers under the leadership of Robin Benito and Marvin Laurens. You will work closely with this team and the Irish department, to grow Selectra’s network and visibility across Ireland. The aim is to build up a regional partner network (e.g. local property companies, relocation service providers, insurance brokers, etc.), which contributes to business development by generating leads (e.g. from new arrivals). The project for Ireland is in the early stages, meaning you’ll play a key role in shaping the strategy and proving its viability. In essence, you'll be building your own business unit with the backing and stability of a salaried position within an international company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conclude partnerships in the defined region: Acquisition of property professionals, insurance brokers and other experts (e.g. agencies, service providers for flat handovers, etc.) in order to conclude partnerships
  • Maintenance of detailed reporting that documents the relationships with the partners contacted
  • Actively manage local partner network to maximise the number of leads: Support with the transmission of leads
  • Regular follow-up with the partnerships to increase the number of leads received
  • Contacting leads and concluding as many contracts as possible: Telephone contact with the leads received (forwarded customers of the partners) to advise them on energy contracts and other additional services from Selectra Ireland
  • As an energy consultant, you will be familiarised with the entire Selectra Ireland product and service portfolio
  • Monthly reporting with the following content: A monthly profit and loss account showing the income and expenses of your activities
  • An overview of the number of leads received, leads processed and sales closed
  • A summary of the commissions paid to partners and the commissions received by Selectra Germany for the services sold

Requirements:

  • Local knowledge of any region within Ireland
  • Talent in sales: communicative, outgoing, not afraid of reaching out to potential partners
  • Strong mind to overcome obstacles and challenging periods
  • Strong acquaintance with Irish culture and ways of speaking

Nice to have:

  • Network: A strong local personal network in any region of Ireland is a big plus
  • Industry: Ideally already experience in the property or relocation sector
  • Mobility: Driving licence an advantage
  • Other language skills: Good knowledge of Spanish or French an advantage
  • Digital know-how: Confident handling of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) desirable
What we offer:
  • Paid business trips: It is expected that you will be travelling to your Business Developer area about once a quarter. The flights are of course paid for!
  • Restaurant and transport card: Applicable throughout Spain with the principle of "Retribución Flexible" (tax benefits)
  • Preferential rates for private health insurance (free of charge after six months in the company)
  • A gym pass with preferential rates for gym subscriptions ("Wellhub")
  • Fresh fruit in the office
  • Attractive Spanish working conditions: Stable fixed salary plus performance-based bonus in a permanent employment relationship
  • International team: Work in a multicultural company with more than 17 nationalities and enjoy our free language courses (e.g. French, Spanish), which will make your start in a new environment easier
  • Career opportunities: We recognise talent and motivation and favour internal development over external recruitment
  • Training: We attach great importance to professional development and offer training and development opportunities throughout your time at Selectra
  • Support during your move: We support you during your move abroad with a city guide and a dedicated contact person
  • A young and relaxed working environment: Be yourself - we welcome everyone, regardless of dress or orientation
