Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Loan Servicing Support Specialist to join our team in Meriden, Connecticut. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate processing and servicing of loans while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional support to clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate escrow payments for property taxes, insurance, and homeowner association fees
  • Process and manage loan payments, advances, and adjustments efficiently
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to misapplied or missing loan payments
  • Perform loan maintenance tasks, including modifications, extensions, and updates to the core system
  • Address and correct credit reporting errors, while responding to disputes promptly
  • Review loan documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards in all activities
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to streamline processes and maintain records

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Ability to work in a compliance-driven and confidential environment
