Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Servicing Specialist II to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will manage advanced servicing functions across consumer and commercial loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This position requires a proactive approach to resolving complex servicing scenarios, maintaining data accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Process and post complex loan payments, payoffs, advances, curtailments, and adjustments with precision and timeliness
  • Manage insurance tracking, policy renewals, and compliance with coverage requirements, including coordination of lender-placed insurance as needed
  • Conduct advanced escrow analyses, oversee tax and insurance disbursements, and ensure escrow account balances remain accurate
  • Maintain and update borrower and loan data in the core system, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant
  • Execute complex loan servicing actions such as modifications, extensions, deferments, and re-amortizations
  • Perform audits on loan files and system data to uphold accuracy and compliance with internal controls
  • Generate and deliver servicing reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Resolve escalated borrower inquiries regarding payments, account status, escrow discrepancies, and payoff calculations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address servicing issues and support audit requirements
  • Provide mentorship and training to entry level staff, fostering team development and quality assurance

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in loan servicing, including loan processing, escrow management, and insurance tracking
  • Advanced knowledge of loan servicing systems, regulatory compliance, and investor guidelines
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate records
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to handle escalated servicing issues
  • Proficiency in banking software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools
  • Familiarity with government-guaranteed loan programs such as SBA 504, SBA 7(a), FHA, VA, and USDA loans
  • Experience with conventional loans, home equity loans, and secondary market standards such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively
