Job Description:

A growing mortgage company in Wallingford, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Processor on a contract basis. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, financial services experience, and a commitment to delivering an excellent client experience throughout the loan process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Collect, verify, and organize borrower financial information, credit documents, and disclosures
  • Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third parties to gather required information
  • Ensure loan files meet internal guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Track loan status and maintain accurate records throughout the processing cycle
  • Assist in clearing conditions and preparing files for underwriting and closing
  • Provide responsive, professional service to clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a loan processor, mortgage processor, or in a related financial services role preferred
  • Knowledge of mortgage documents, loan processing procedures, and compliance standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
