Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Loan Processor to support our team in managing loan applications from start to finish. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation while maintaining effective communication with clients, underwriters, and external partners. As part of a long-term contract position, you will play a key role in facilitating timely loan approvals and maintaining compliance with lending regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation, including income verification, credit reports, and asset statements
  • Communicate professionally with clients and third parties, such as real estate agents and title companies, to gather necessary information
  • Prepare loan files for underwriting by compiling and submitting required documents for review
  • Monitor loan progress and address any issues or missing information to prevent delays in approval or closing
  • Maintain accurate records of loan processing activities in the company’s system
  • Assist in preparing closing disclosures and finalizing loan documentation
  • Ensure deadlines are met to keep the loan process on schedule
  • Adhere to confidentiality protocols and comply with all federal and organizational lending regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the loan processing cycle

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in loan processing, mortgage, or banking is highly advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using loan processing software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Familiarity with lending regulations is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service
