We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of real estate loan applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, prioritizing compliance and exceptional service while supporting members throughout the loan process.
Job Responsibility:
Review real estate loan applications to verify completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required information is provided
Collect, validate, and organize supporting documentation, such as income statements, credit reports, appraisals, and title work
Enter loan data into the credit union’s system with precision to maintain compliance and accuracy
Communicate regularly with loan officers, underwriters, and members to facilitate smooth processing and address inquiries
Ensure loan files adhere to credit union policies, state and federal regulations, and industry standards
Conduct thorough reviews of loan documentation to identify and correct any errors or omissions
Collaborate with the lending team to enhance workflows and improve overall efficiency
Participate in training programs to stay updated on compliance requirements and industry practices
Track loan progress and provide timely updates to management, ensuring transparency and accountability
Generate reports to monitor metrics such as application timelines, loan volume, and approval rates
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential loan processing, preferably within a credit union or community bank setting
Familiarity with mortgage loan program guidelines, including VA and conventional loans
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with members and team members
Proficiency in loan origination software and standard office tools such as Microsoft Office
Knowledge of industry compliance standards and regulations
Experience in loan administration, mortgage processing, and loan origination is highly desirable
