Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Loan Processor - Support specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the loan processing cycle by providing essential support to loan officers, processors, and underwriters. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, seeking to contribute to a dynamic financial services environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Accurately input data and maintain organized records for loan files in both digital and physical formats
  • review loan documents to verify completeness and identify any inconsistencies or missing information
  • prepare, scan, and securely file loan-related paperwork in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • assist loan officers and processors in collecting and verifying client details, including employment, credit, and asset information
  • respond to inquiries from internal teams and external parties regarding loan status and documentation requirements
  • track loan progress through the application, underwriting, and closing stages to ensure deadlines are met
  • coordinate with clients, title companies, appraisers, and other stakeholders to streamline the loan process
  • safeguard confidential client information and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations
  • generate reports and monitor loan pipelines to support management in tracking overall loan operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • additional education in business, finance, or related fields is advantageous
  • previous experience in banking, loan administration, or financial services is preferred
  • strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • basic knowledge of loan products and banking regulations is a plus
  • familiarity with mortgage processing, loan origination, and related financial services is beneficial
