Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processor - Support to join our team in Westlake Village, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and organization of loan applications and borrower documentation. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the loan processing cycle while collaborating with a dynamic team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review new loan applications thoroughly to ensure all required information is accurate and complete
  • Input borrower details into the Loan Origination System with precision and efficiency
  • Assess credit reports, income, assets, and liabilities to support loan structuring
  • Prepare loan files for underwriting by organizing and structuring all necessary information
  • Request and gather essential borrower documentation, including pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, and identification
  • Verify employment details, calculate income, and confirm asset sources to maintain compliance
  • Communicate with borrowers and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing information
  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance loan processing workflows and address challenges effectively

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan processing or a related field
  • Proficiency in loan administration and mortgage processing systems
  • Strong knowledge of loan origination and lending practices
  • Familiarity with mortgage closing procedures and regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial data, including credit reports and income statements
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with borrowers and team members
