Job Description

Serve as the dedicated operational backbone for an assigned Sales Director - own business-purpose loan files (RTL and DSCR) from setup through underwriting submission, handling borrower communication, email administration, and processing.

Job Responsibility

  • Open new loans in the loan origination system
  • ensure all required fields are populated accurately
  • Collect borrower documentation (entity docs, financials, asset statements, property information)
  • Request and follow up on signed loan applications
  • Order appraisals and any required inspections
  • Maintain a clean, organized loan file at all times
  • Serve as the borrower's primary point of contact for documentation requests and status updates
  • Respond to borrower inquiries within one business day
  • Manage the conditions list
  • Coordinate signing logistics
  • Assist with and direct post-close customer service inquiries
  • Process loan files ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines
  • Order and track all third-party services
  • Collect and review insurance policies for required coverage
  • Verify borrower documentation
  • Collect and verify property information
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date loan data in the LOS and pipeline reports
  • Communicate proactively with the Sales Director, title, escrow, and other internal/external partners
  • Email inbox management for the assigned Sales Director
  • Support audits, quality control reviews, and investor due diligence requests as needed
  • Act as a backup or escalation resource during peak volume periods or staff absences
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and company mortgage lending regulations and policies

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience as a loan officer assistant or loan processor
  • Knowledge of mortgage documentation, underwriting conditions, and closing requirements
  • Ability to manage a pipeline independently with minimal oversight
  • Superb customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High proficiency with a Loan Origination System
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills

Nice to have

Experience with bridge loans, DSCR, non-QM, or portfolio lending preferred
