We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team in Torrance, California. This is a temp-to-hire position and you will play a key role in supporting loan documentation, underwriting, and compliance processes. This role requires a proactive approach to managing loan files, ensuring regulatory adherence, and maintaining efficient workflows.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, review, and finalize loan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with lending policies and state regulations
Collaborate with loan officers and borrowers to collect necessary information for loan applications and documentation
Coordinate with external stakeholders, including title companies and escrow agents, to facilitate seamless loan closings
Monitor and adhere to federal and state lending regulations, with training provided as necessary
Identify and address potential risks in loan files prior to finalization and funding
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates on loan status and requirements
Utilize loan origination software and document management systems to streamline processes and ensure accurate record-keeping
Ensure all loan-related activities align with company policies and procedures
Support the administration of community development loans, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing loan administration efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in loan documentation, underwriting, or a related financial field
Strong understanding of the loan origination process and associated documentation requirements
Proficiency in loan management software and tools
Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with internal and external teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Nice to have:
Knowledge of California lending regulations is preferred
Experience in real estate lending or property investment financing is a plus
