The Loan Documentation and Processing Team Coordinator is responsible for managing and reviewing loan documentation, processing and closing loans, ensuring procedural compliance, and mitigating risks. The role involves applying professional judgment, training new recruits, and contributing to process and policy improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation while providing support to a variety of tasks related to the loan process
Independently process and close loans within a complex loan operations environment
Integrate a solid understanding of industry, business standards and practices of loan documentation processes
Apply professional judgment, analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies to make recommendations to senior management to support process improvement
Lead and provide guidance to a small team
Deal with most loan related problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex issues
Apply judgment when interpreting data, preparing reports, and present findings to management with recommendations based on identified trends and facts
Design and analyze complex reports often related to loan documentation processes to satisfy management requirements and support/control activities
Participate in and support the implementation of projects as assigned, applies project management skills to support initiatives
Interpret data and make recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms related to loan documentation/processing functions
Identify policy gaps and formulate policies to support the streamlining of related work processes
Minimize risk to the bank through a solid understanding of procedural requirements - provides solutions to reduce errors and adhere to audit and control policies
Timely management, escalation, and resolution of all requests/inquiries/issues/errors related to loan documentation
Provide informal guidance and/or on-the-job-training to new team members
Handle direct interaction with external customers to disseminate or explain information
Requirements:
5-8 years of experience
Reasonable knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process
Demonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services
General awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation
Adequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
Awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processes
Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to Policies
