Job Description:

The Loan Closer is responsible for reviewing, preparing, and finalizing loan documents, ensuring compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating with borrowers, lenders, escrow officers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and timely loan closings and fund disbursements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Verify and review all closing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Ensure loan terms match approved underwriting conditions
  • Work closely with title companies, attorneys, and escrow officers to coordinate closings
  • Prepare wire instructions and authorize loan funding
  • Confirm receipt of all required documentation before disbursement
  • Ensure all conditions and stipulations are met before finalizing funding
  • Adhere to federal, state, and investor regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and other mortgage compliance guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records and audit loan files for any discrepancies
  • Serve as a liaison between loan officers, processors, and funding departments
  • Provide timely updates to borrowers and other stakeholders regarding the closing process
  • Address and resolve closing or funding issues promptly
  • Ensure all loan data is accurately entered into the system
  • Generate reports and maintain records of funded loans
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in post-closing, loan processing, or mortgage operations
  • Experience with loan origination systems (LOS) and document management platforms is a plus
  • Strong understanding of loan closing, funding, and post-closing processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
