Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable Syndicated Loans Closer to join our EMEA Loan Trading team in London. This is a critical execution role within a fast-paced secondary loans environment, offering exposure to complex transactions, cross-border stakeholders, and high-value deal flow.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the closing and settlement of secondary loan trades, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and within agreed timelines
  • Review finance documentation and prepare, validate and execute all required transfer documentation, engaging legal counsel where appropriate
  • Liaise with lenders, agent banks, borrowers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of trade settlements
  • Ensure transferability conditions, legal requirements and KYC obligations are fully satisfied prior to closing
  • Partner with Operations to confirm accurate cash flows, fee payments and settlements
  • Maintain accurate trade records across systems including ClearPar and Loantrak
  • Manage documentation, audit trails and ongoing requirements such as amendments, waivers and lender communications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in loan closing and secondary loan trading environments
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and navigate complex finance documentation
  • Solid understanding of agent bank practices, settlement mechanics, and KYC requirements
  • Ability to manage high volumes of transactions with precision and minimal supervision
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across front office, legal and operations teams
  • Strong working knowledge of ClearPar and syndicated loan processes.

Nice to have

Educated to A level grade (or equivalent), a degree within a relevant discipline would be seen as advantageous.
