Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Loan Administrator to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this short-term contract to permanent role, you will manage various aspects of loan operations, including compliance, payment processing, and documentation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic financial services environment while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the collection and processing of tickler and exception items to ensure compliance and minimize risk
  • Review loan payments, advances, account maintenance, and rate changes daily, escalating issues to management as needed
  • Collaborate with Loan Closers to secure approvals and resolve exception items according to procedural guidelines
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation for tickler and exception items
  • Update tracking systems with required dates and information for tickler items upon receipt
  • Verify insurance policies tied to loans meet organizational standards for coverage and deductibles
  • Issue force-placed insurance letters for expired policies and track communications with borrowers
  • Process loan payments, advances, and reconciliations for direct and participated loans
  • Calculate loan payoff amounts and verify balances with each payment received
  • Manage wire transfers in compliance with company policies and maintain accurate logs for daily transactions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in loan operations, banking, or financial services
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Familiarity with insurance requirements related to loan collateral
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan tracking software
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while working under deadlines
  • Knowledge of loan underwriting and administration processes
  • Experience with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs is preferred
