We are looking for a meticulous Loan Administrator to join our team in Westlake Village, California. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in loan processing, compliance, and administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loan underwriting and a commitment to maintaining accurate and compliant documentation.
Job Responsibility:
Review loan applications and accompanying documentation to verify accuracy and completeness
Prepare loan files for underwriting and ensure all necessary conditions are met prior to funding
Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and loan officers to address and resolve missing conditions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal regulations by auditing loan files and tracking required documents
Maintain accurate records of disclosures, closing documents, and funding packages
Monitor and track critical dates, including rate locks, closing deadlines, and loan maturity dates
Verify adherence to lending policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring all processes align with industry standards
Coordinate with team members to address any compliance-related issues or discrepancies
Assist in the documentation and management of payoff processes when necessary
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan administration or a related field
Proficiency in loan underwriting and familiarity with compliance standards
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and manage multiple deadlines
Experience in auditing and maintaining loan files to meet compliance requirements
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including processors and underwriters
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and regulatory adherence
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) regulations is highly desirable
