Job Description:

Loader position at CVS Health's new bulk distribution center in Jersey City, responsible for safely moving and positioning items using equipment, inspecting for quality issues, arranging loads securely, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Responsibility:

Uses forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to safely move and position items onto vehicles
Inspects for damages, defects, or quality issues
Arrange load onto trailer or transportation vehicles securely and efficiently
Conducts preliminary safety checks of equipment
Maintains a safe and clean working environment
Wrap or secure items to prevent damage during transport
Contributes to maintaining accurate inventory records
Ensures correct products, quantities, and specifications match order requirements
Determines proper weight distribution on trucks
Coordinates with warehouse personnel, drivers, or other loaders
Understand Basic Cross dock functions
Understand Basic Consolidation function

Requirements:

Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time
Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.)
Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to read, write, and count accurately
Good written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail for load accuracy
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally
Basic computer skills
Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to be a collaborator who is comfortable working in a team-based environment
Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service
Ability to act competently in emergencies
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems
Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation
Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance
Has a sense of organization and cleanliness regarding work area
High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice to have:

Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS)
0-2 years of previous warehouse experience
