Job Description:

Cardinal Nannies & Caregivers Inc. is seeking compassionate and dedicated Full-time Live-in Caregiver/Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide high-quality, one-on-one care for an elderly couple with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's in Port Hope. This role is ideal for those who excel in prioritizing a client's dignity, safety, and comfort within their own home.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide full assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing/undressing, and toileting
  • Assist with safe transfers if needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy and hazard-free home
  • Plan and prepare healthy meals tailored to the client's dietary needs and preferences
  • Maintain a clean and comfortable atmosphere that promotes the client's overall well-being and independence
  • Assist with taking to and from appointments, to run errands and to purchase groceries for the home

Requirements:

  • Valid PSW Certificate preferred
  • Valid Full G Driver's License required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly compassionate
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and CPR/First Aid certification
  • Experience in supporting clients with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's is an asset
