A lovely family based in Chelsea, London, is seeking an energetic and flexible Live-in Nanny. They have two boys (born January 2023 and November 2024) with a new baby due in October 2026, and are looking for an experienced nanny to support their existing nanny as their family grows. This is a shared-care role alongside the mother and current nanny, with the new baby having a maternity nurse for the first 6–7 months. Both parents are highly involved in their children’s lives. The family travel extensively between London, Ireland and Barbados (typically November to March/April), and the successful candidate must be happy to travel for extended periods. Private accommodation is provided at all locations. Housekeeping support is in place across all homes, and in Barbados a chef prepares meals for the children and nanny. Start date: As soon as possible, no later than 1 October 2026.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-quality, nurturing care for two boys (ages 3 and 1) and, from October 2026, a newborn baby
Work collaboratively with the family’s existing nanny, sharing rotas to ensure seven-day nanny cover
Maintain children’s routines, which are already well established and settled
Act as sole-charge, proxy-parent carer when required (during travel or parental absence)
Carry out all nursery duties including children’s laundry and keeping bedrooms and playrooms tidy
Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for the children
Provide flexibility for occasional evening cover (paid as overtime)
Travel internationally with the family for extended periods, including to Barbados each winter season
Support the family at all locations: Chelsea (London), Ireland and Barbados
Requirements:
Extensive experience working with babies and young children of similar ages
Longevity with previous families
An energetic and fun personality with a relaxed yet professional approach
Fluent English speaking
Right to work in the UK
A confident and competent swimmer
A full, clean driving licence (essential)
A confident flyer who is comfortable travelling extensively and being away from home for long periods
Happy to travel internationally including extended stays in Barbados
Comfortable with a dog in the household
First Aid qualified (or willing to obtain qualification prior to start)
Enhanced DBS / appropriate background checks (or willing to complete)
