Job Description

A lovely family split between Notting Hill, London and the Oxfordshire countryside are seeking an experienced, professional, gentle and caring nanny to care for their two young children – a boy aged 4 and a girl aged 2. Both children are happy, healthy and thriving in good routines.

Job Responsibility

  • Sole charge and shared care responsibilities with the parents
  • All normal nursery duties including the children’s laundry, rooms and play areas
  • Establishing and maintaining healthy, structured routines with the children
  • Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children
  • Organising age and stage related activities for the children
  • The boy (4) attends nursery 5 mornings per week, with drop-off and collection as required
  • The girl (2) will be starting nursery after Easter
  • when not at nursery, full-time care is required
  • Supporting the children’s development through empathetic, child-led approaches
  • Encouraging exploration of nature and outdoor, active, energetic play
  • Fostering a love of food, healthy eating habits and good nutrition
  • Comfortable working across both locations and flexible enough to accommodate the family’s lifestyle

Requirements

  • An experienced, professional nanny with strong childcare background
  • A gentle, caring and empathetic approach to childcare
  • A child-led, responsive approach – able to tune into children’s needs and cues
  • An energetic, active and enjoys outdoor play
  • A passionate about nutrition and healthy eating – ideally someone who has a love of food
  • Excellent understanding of child development for ages 2-4 years
  • Strong references from previous families
  • Progressive outlook on childcare
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with parents
  • Car driver – essential
  • First Aid qualified (or willing to obtain)

Nice to have

  • EU passport holder (advantageous)
