Job Description

A UHNW family based in Knightsbridge are seeking a confident, proactive, and highly experienced Live-in Housekeeping Couple to join their professional household team. This European family maintains exceptionally high standards within their home. They are looking for a dedicated couple who understand the nuances of ultra-high-net-worth service, are entirely comfortable working in close proximity to the Principals, and take genuine pride in delivering perfection in every detail. The successful couple will work collaboratively to ensure the seamless day-to-day running of the residence, demonstrating initiative, discretion, and a shared commitment to excellence. Start date: ASAP.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain impeccable housekeeping standards throughout the residence
  • Ensure all living areas are presented to the highest standard at all times
  • Work collaboratively with other household staff to deliver seamless service
  • Support the House Manager and maintain a direct, open working relationship
  • Assist with preparing the house for family arrivals and managing visits end-to-end
  • Oversee contractors and engineers when required
  • Confident communication with Principals and responding to requests
  • Opportunity to travel with the family (up to six weeks per year)
  • Ability to run the household independently when the family are away
  • Immediate response to the Principals' movements, ensuring rooms are reset to pristine condition throughout the day
  • Exceptional attention to detail (e.g. no watermarks, immaculate presentation of personal items, daily care of grooming tools)
  • Maintain perfection in bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces
  • Laundry and wardrobe management to a high standard
  • Prepare simple, high-quality family-style meals when required
  • Assist with household organisation, errands, and general support
  • Occasional family-style service (formal events staffed separately)
  • Support with property maintenance oversight and logistics
  • Assist with setting up living spaces to exacting standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in UHNW households with verifiable references (at least one partner must have strong housekeeping experience)
  • One partner to be a capable and confident cook (essential) – for varied family style meals
  • Comfortable working closely with Principals in a private household
  • Exceptional attention to detail and understanding of luxury service standards
  • Proactive, intuitive, and able to anticipate needs
  • Warm, professional demeanour with excellent communication skills
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and highly motivated
  • Both candidates must have the right to work in the UK
