Job Description:

A lovely HNW family based in the Irish countryside is seeking an experienced Family Cook/Housekeeper to join their private household team. This is a long-term, rota position supporting a busy family with four teenage children, working alongside other household staff to ensure the smooth running of daily life. The role offers a balanced rota (7 days on/off), excellent accommodation, and the opportunity to work in a beautiful countryside setting on an extensive farm estate. The Family Cook/Housekeeper will be supported by a wider team including a House Manager and three cleaners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare healthy, delicious daily meals for the family, with varied and interesting menus
  • Plan and execute food shopping, fridge management, and general kitchen organisation
  • Support occasional small dinner parties (2–3 times per year)
  • Light housekeeping at weekends (bed making, laundry), with a full-time cleaner employed during the week
  • Oversee and coordinate the duties of cleaners to maintain consistently high standards throughout the home
  • Assist with general household organisation as required
  • Occasional travel with the family to Dublin and Spain

Requirements:

  • An experienced family cook with a warm, confident approach to preparing nutritious meals
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a wider household team
  • Discreet, reliable, and comfortable within an informal family environment
  • Flexible and willing to travel occasionally with the family
  • A valid UK or EU Passport
  • A valid driving licence
