Job Description:

Live-in carer to support a gentleman with a C4/5 spinal cord injury who lives with his wife in their peaceful home. This is a short-term live-in placement lasting approximately 2–3 months.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with washing, dressing, showering, and personal care
  • Support continence care, including one night-time pad change
  • Prepare balanced meals to support weight gain
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, well-organised home
  • Provide gentle, minimal support for the client’s wife post-operation (approx. 30 mins/day)
  • Encourage independence and follow a calm, structured routine
  • Observe and record wellbeing and ensure safety
  • Observe and record the client’s health status
  • Assist with activities of daily living
  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment
  • Ensure confidentiality
  • Support medication routines (client self-administers)
  • Arrange transportation for appointments when needed
