A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Secretary to support its Employment and Commercial Litigation teams on a long-term, fully remote contract basis. This is a California-based position offering stability, consistent hours, and meaningful ongoing litigation support across complex civil matters.
Job Responsibility:
Manage state and federal e-filing across diverse civil litigation matters
Maintain and track litigation calendars in compliance with court rules and internal procedures
Prepare and format pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents
Draft and finalize TOCs and TOAs
Support attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit binders and coordination
Maintain organized electronic case files within document management systems
Provide administrative and litigation support across multiple practice groups
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Litigation Secretary in a defense or complex civil litigation environment
Strong proficiency in state and federal e-filing procedures
Advanced calendaring experience across multiple practice areas
Trial preparation experience from pre-trial filings through courtroom support
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
California-based candidate required
Nice to have:
Experience supporting employment, commercial litigation, or toxic tort practices is a strong plus
experience with iManage, ProLaw, or Adobe Acrobat preferred
