A dynamic San Francisco–based law firm is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to support its busy civil litigation practice. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on involvement in all phases of litigation and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing case lifecycles from inception through trial in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive litigation support from case intake through trial and resolution
Draft, review, and cite-check legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Manage case calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Coordinate and assist with discovery, including document review, production, and organization
Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial
File documents in state and federal courts (including e-filing)
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and vendors to support case progress
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in civil litigation
Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements
Experience managing discovery processes and trial preparation
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software (e.g., Relativity, iManage, or similar)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work onsite in San Francisco (hybrid flexibility may be available)
