Robert Half Legal is partnering with a boutique commercial litigation firm to support its search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This is a fully remote, part-time contract assignment anticipated to run through August, with an estimated workload of 20 hours per week. The firm is heading to trial, representing an international manufacturing company in complex disputes, including shareholder litigation and real estate investment matters.
Job Responsibility:
Organize case files, pleadings, and all key litigation documents utilizing the Worldox document management system
Prepare and format documents for discovery production, including Bates stamping and quality control
Coordinate and manage all phases of eDiscovery, including: Collecting and reviewing electronic data from clients and third parties, Preparing ESI (electronically stored information) logs, Searching, culling, and tagging documents for responsiveness and privilege, Managing document review databases/platforms to ensure proper tagging, tracking, and production, Assisting with loading and producing documents in accordance with court rules and team directions, Performing privilege reviews and maintaining privilege logs
Draft subpoenas, correspondence, and select litigation support memoranda
Maintain detailed privilege logs and track outstanding discovery requests or deliverables
Support attorneys in witness and exhibit preparation, deposition management, and pretrial logistics
Monitor and manage all deadlines for discovery responses, court filings, and supplemental productions
Ensure compliance with California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) and local rules for all filings, discovery, and pretrial procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on litigation paralegal experience, preferably in complex business or commercial litigation
Proven experience and working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) is required
Demonstrated expertise in document management, particularly with Worldox or similar DMS
Strong background in eDiscovery management, including the full discovery lifecycle and document review platforms
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Effective communication and collaboration skills with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders
