We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for individuals with extensive experience in litigation support and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Risk Management teams, adjusters, and external counsel to provide comprehensive legal assistance and ensure the efficient handling of claims and litigation matters.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage claim documents for both litigated and non-litigated matters, ensuring all materials are accurately retrieved and organized
Assist adjusters and outside counsel with fact-finding tasks, discovery responses, and trial preparation as needed
Organize and maintain internal document management systems, collaborating with technology teams to streamline processes
Review and respond to third-party subpoenas with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Handle legal administrative tasks such as managing service of process, issuing litigation holds, and tracking pending litigation
Prepare legal briefs, review pleadings, and support pretrial and trial activities under the supervision of Counsel
Approve and process legal invoices, tracking costs and ensuring alignment with budget requirements
Coordinate large-scale document review assignments with vendors to ensure timely and thorough completion
Provide responses to RFIs, RFQs, and pursuit questionnaires related to claims and litigation history
Requirements:
Paralegal certification from a nationally recognized program or completion of a proprietary paralegal studies course
a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Minimum of 4-5 years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally with both law firm and in-house exposure
Familiarity with construction litigation and insurance defense matters is highly desirable
Proficiency in eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or Consilio, with experience in technology-assisted reviews
Demonstrated ability to prepare briefs and manage documentation for mediation, arbitration, and trial processes
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience handling legal tasks such as litigation holds, service of process, and document reviews
Previous exposure to personal injury defense or construction litigation cases is preferred
